Kamancheh master in a summit with local jazz and rock
Just before Shabbat, Mark Eliyahu invites you to a remarkable performance, specially crafted for the Jazz Festival. In his new show, Mark intertwines the principles of maqam and ancient instruments with cutting-edge, groundbreaking production. In it’s one side of the stage will host local rock icon Berry Sakharof, whose career has consistently bridged ethnic sounds and Eastern scales. On the other, it will feature the brilliant saxophonist Daniel Zamir, who brings modern, adventurous jazz deeply rooted in Jewish soul and ancient tradition. The meeting of these two with Mark’s rare sensitivity and attentiveness promises unique moments of musical transcendence.
