The gifted drummer Ofri Nehemya was virtually “born” into the world of jazz, first sitting behind the drum kit at the tender age of three. As a young teenager, he boldly took the stage at the Eilat Jazz Festival’s jam session, leaving the audience awestruck with his precise technique and refined musicality. His debut album, released at the end of this year, features original compositions recorded with his remarkable quartet. We believe there is no more fitting stage than our festival to spotlight what is undoubtedly the next milestone in the career of one of the most promising talents in Israeli music today.
