The current season of Indie City is dedicated to the locations and faces of the people from the Gaza envelope who suffered a heavy blow on October 7th. It includes eight music videos featuring Chava Alberstein, Lola Marsh, The Backyard, Teapacks, Jimbo J featuring Orit Teshuma and Abraham Legese, Daniel Weiss, Saar Lieben, and artists from the Gaza envelope in collaboration with the families of the hostages. Seven of the videos were filmed in the Gaza envelope (Kibbutz Be’eri, Sderot Police Station, a bomb shelter at Tzomet Gevulot, and more), with one filmed at the Hostages Square in Tel Aviv. The music videos are accompanied by interviews where the artists share their personal experiences from October 7th. This season touches on collective trauma, with each story reflecting the sorrow and resilience in dealing with pain, and the hope that grows through music.
The event will feature an introductory talk by Betina Feinstein, the creator and director of Indie City. Following the talk, all eight music videos from the new season of Indie City will premiere, followed by a Q&A session with the director and the audience.
